Vivo Republic Food Court (Java Kitchen) - SG, 3rd May 2009

It has been quite a while having good computer effect movie come by...
This time round, we actually book our ticket at Golden Village - Vivocity, as we have never been there before for show, and thought that we give it a try...
The new cinema is spacious, the screen is wide... oops, no pictures for this as of now.. i will take pictures the next time round
After collecting our tickets, we take a stroll to the 3rd level... Thats right the Food Republic food court...
Trendy entrance, colourful from start... Food Republic is smart by allocating the fruits juice store at the entrance.
when entering the premises, you are actually warping into back to the past, the decor are of Oriental theme, chinese lantern and chinese bird cage hanging to give that feel...
good concept by putting lighting in the bird cage.. "i wonder who came up with this idea"
after strolling the whole food court... i decided to order this from a Indonesia counter..
I have not been eating spicy indonesia dish for quite some time... and this time, it is good for me to try out this counter...
I ordered a Nasi Rames (chicken)
it consist of a Chicken drumstick, one fried egg, salty vege, chillied crispy crackers, flesh from jackfruit (http://infopedia.nl.sg/articles/SIP_870_2005-01-11.html), and not forgetting the one small little slice cucumber too....
well, nothing special abt the egg, so it will be bla bla bla
the cracker really is a good appetiser, and with its peanuts blend with it, its really bring out your saliva and wanting to explore more of this dish
the flesh from the jackfruit is quite blend, it will be good if they can simmer longer or maybe they can add more spice into it. Salty vege aka "giam chye" is soft and not salty, too bad the portion is too little...
and now here come the main dish, Chicken drum stick with rendang gravy.. yummy
the chicken are tender, to be frank chicken always go well with any sauce, but with rendang,, wow.. it is powerful ,,,
as you can see from this dish.. there are 6 different type of spicy sauce and gravy... and the sauce actually give u appetite to eat more.. if u have a weak stomach, please try to limit yourself.. but if you really dont care or "bo chap" by all means go ahead and try it...
when my wife saw what I have ordered, she already commented, this is the most unhealthy food, hahaha, well ... I really understand what she meant by that.. anyway,,, it is only once in a blue moon.. so.. i believe no harm at all, the most I will do more kickboxing or do more roller skating.. hehehe
The cost of this is S$6.50, quite affordable, Food Republic Vivo is nothing new to most singaporean, but this indonesia counter is really worth a try...
there are also some great booth like the korean, Nasi Lemak store, prata store... try it this weekend...
