My Driving History and Experience

Driving and owning a car is always a boys dream...
I can still remember when I was in my teens, everyone in schools are talking about taking up highway code, or some even learn how to drive. It it s sign of being and adult and has become a type of status in school...
After passing my highway code, my mum actually encourage me to take up driving lesson, she willing to sponsor me during that time, and it is only $9.50 per hour.. and the car that I learned to drive is a Datsun 120Y as below... nothing fancy.. it is a good car to learn...

After a few months of learning, and passed the driving test.. I was called into the army. And immediately after the hard 3 months training, I have the chance to drive my dad's Metallic Green Mitsubishi Galant to camp for 2 years of my serving in the SAF.

Eventually my dad's need to sell his car since it is already 10 years old (it is a pre-requisite to sell if the touches 10 years).. and I finally bought my own 2nd hand car, a Datsun 100A FII.. this car has a 1L engine capacity, but it really serves its purpose fetching me to and fro from home and office and from office to customer place... and after driving for 6 months, and also a high flyer then.. I bought another car to replace it.. which is...

Korean made Metallic gold Hyundai Stella, 1.6L, had a body size of a Benz, a bumper of a Volvo, and this car has been serving for 3 years.. I have no complained abt this car, the only concern is that this car is a little under power as this huge car should have 2L engine compare to a 1.6.. My younger sis like this a lot, as I sometimes drove to school, and she feel proud when she is in it...

after driving the Hyundai Stella for 3 year, I started to fancy classic cars, and I spotted this Mercedes Benz 280. After I bought this, I quickly bought books on this magnificient 280.. heavy chassis, large interior.. but I unfortunately I need to sell this after 6 months of driving.. hahaha.. you are right .. I cant take the way this car consume,,, its really drinks a lot...

you might what will be the next car, here it is a Silvery Grey Mazda 323 Astina... one of my favourite car so far, family like car but yet with a sporty front... when I bought this car, it comes with a auto gear box, LED dashboard, and it really makes you proud when you are fetching your colleague or even your family..

after driving the Astina for 2 years, I started to hunger for classic coupe car, and that is where I spotted this Honda 1st generation Prelude,,, when I bought this model, it was really scrappy, and I have spent huge sum on restoring it... the colour that I chose for exterior are glossy black, rose wood stirring wheel and rose wood auto gear handle..
when markets were falling down during the financial crisis.. i have no choice but to sell away my prelude, and since then, i have not been driving for the past 10 years and I have been relying heavily on public transport, the train, taxi, buses....
and now I am a proud owner of the Malaysia made Proton Savvy, it has that sporty look interior and exterior.. and reliable Renault engine.. and with it 1.2L engine.. it is really a vroom car...
I really must say , owning a car is not like owning a toys, a person needs to have a strong financial support to sustain it and maintain it.. and I have seen a lot of classified add that people are starting to sell their car after 6 months of driving.. and with the fuel still in its climbing climax.. you have to think twice before u buy.. buying a car is a big commitment.. please think again before buying it...
