our drinking water

I am seeing light and civilisation ahead...

and at the same time, you will catch some nice view of monkies too..

finally we are out of the trail

before i tell you the time lets catch some nice view

the tortoises are enjoying their swim

and you will be able to rest in this small hut too

now the time that i reach this place.... 12.30 pm..
it is a total 3 hours walk.. and the total distance will be 9.1 km....
that is for today...
and my verdict is.. it is a good walk for adult and a good form of exercise,, but if u want to try with your young ones (below 10), i think u will have to think twice.. family with babies.. please dont try this trail.. it is not that easy.... REMEMBER, bring lots of water (u will definitely need it), Isotonc drinks will be great, face towel too (at least 2 pcs per person), ....
Good luck.. :P

while walking on the bridge.. you will see a dead tree ahead.. and inside the hollow branch, you will see a night owl nesting and sleeping.. and we have to be quiet so as not to disturb their resting

here is the zoom in.. see anything?

you require many of this devices to hold this strong bridge

Not forgetting the safety net to keep you from falling

and the strong see through "floor" too

It is a short bridge, and here we are, the end of the journey..

and now a black and white flash back of the bridge

Let see, how to get back to civilisation....

while on my way back, you get to see this swampy scene... well ... you only get to see this in movie.. here is a real thing and real experience too

butterfly resting on the fern leaf (not easy to catch this on camera, it just keep on flying)

sunny pasture

this is one of a good trail u will get to walk... and wait till u see the rest

this leaves is call "CB" leaf.. if u want to know more abt this leaf, you can always check with the local army guys... :)

today, 21st March 2009...
I did mention to our Blogger group that I might be organising some trail walking event..
But before I suggest a place to them, I will need to do a trail walk at this place, especially the Tree Top Walk...
here are the report:
9.00 am - reach destination, the place is fill with family and school activities...

you get a change to check out the nice view along the way

remember this is the water that flow to our every day tap

9.30 am.. this will be the entrance and also the beginning of my trail walk to the tree top bridge walk

there are many dead leaves on the trail, plus with the super humid in the forest, it actually makes you perspire already after a 30 minutes walk.. do take note that it is quite a soggy walk...

10.00 am... saw a direction sign that directs you to the bridge..

and this is a very steep road up to the bridge

finally we are here

10.30 am... here there is a short briefing... the ranger can only allow 20~30 people at one time on a bridge...

now.. our bridge journey begin

the bridge is safe stable.. but you will feel a little wavy ...

you can also check out how high the bridge is by just checking out the depth of the forest

you can also capture some view on your camera

V This is a zoom from the nex picture

look at how green the forest is

After collecting our glasses from Optique Lens Park in Marina Square, we felt kind of hungry as it is approaching our usual lunch hour..
We are not new to Dome, but when we walk past this specific outlet, I think this is one of the largest Dome outlet I have seen.. and decor are quite unique... as it does have a little Med style
and it is time to check it out

Attractive menu in poster to attract walk-in customer,, and it is hard to miss that

Old World Map on the ceiling

Classique Ceiling Fan.. kind of retro.. dont u think so???

look at the spacious environment, they even provide 2 big 3-seater sofa in the middle of the cafe..

Old Fashioned Med chairs are also in the cafe too..

this one attracts me, a cafe with a private room, I think I can hold a small gathering in it, probably it is a good idea to hold a mini company kick-off here too... :)

we have ordered 2 set of set lunch here
the soup of the day is Mushroom Soup and Clam Chowder...
Below is the Mushroom Soup that you are seeing now, Dome has always been generous with the chunky mushroom, and todate, they are still chunky, and I really dont mind if they have free flow..

Clam Chowder really taste nothing special compare to Mushroom Soup, blend and it taste like normal chowder

well, at least the soup comes with a mini slice of garlic bread

Now the show begins,,, here comes the Pepperoni Tomato Spag for my wife...let me interview my wife.. "so what do u think of this spag?" "well... 1st, pepperoni portion are "many" until I have to give some to my hubby.. 2nd, spaghetti is just nice for me, 3rd, the sauce is not spicy and with the tomatoes aroma, together with the retro decor around you, it does makes feel that you are not in Singapore

Seafood Tomato Spag is for me, the seafood serving is great, and i have to give some prawn to my wife too... prawns are bouncy and tasty, squids meat are crunchy, as for the fish, it taste blend... sauce are a little spicy and with natural tomato sourish taste..

Just look at the size of the prawn.. wow!!!

after the meal, tea will be serve.. and remember please ask for lemon...

and if you do not like the indoor,, there is always the outdoor for you to enjoy the natural air...

No where to go during the evening or weekend?
here is the address:
