There was this programme called the "yummy king".. This eatery place was recommended one of the most authentic roasted meat from HK, and it is also runs by Hongkonger...
well, since it mentioned authentic, we decided to give it a shot at this place...
it is a very hot and sunny day, we drove up to 206 Syed Alwi Road, quite near to little india or jalan besar...
When we reached this place, we were quite shock to see their run down states
not much varieties to choose from on the wall
messy on the inside
menu are all hand written..
I ordered a Char Siew noodle, noodle taste are flat (it was touted as air flown from HK)... but it really taste flat for us.. char siew meat are lean and not fatty, well, it is good news for some who do not like fatty char siew.. and the sauce is just to sweet and thick

as for my wife, she ordered a char siew, soya sauce chicken. Char siew is non fatty, and its chicken meat is neither tender nor juicy... sauce is still too sweet and thick... she is very disappointed with it, and felt that it should not pass as authentic HK dishes
lastly we ordered a fried tofu, this is one dish that we unanimous agree that is a good dish compare to 2 abovementioned dishes
dont jugde by it outlook
the skin is very crispy and tofu is really soft and smooth, when you have one piece in your mouth, u will tend to go for 2nd piece and 3rd piece and so on..
fresh lime juice is available. It is a nice juice for a great sunny day to quench your thirst and at the same time to "dissolve" all the fat that is your body :)
Overall the food is not that bad, but, it will be another good option to choose for if you have no idea where you would like to have your lunch, dinner or ever tea break..
remember to tell them not to over sauce your plates or you can request the sauce to serve seperately...
