Crystal Jade has just open a new branch of HK Style Cafe aside one from Liang Seah Street (http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/hanriktan/article?mid=380). With this new branch, its location is in the prime district, new choice of varieties, "up-market" food, and cosy design where you can sit and chat..
Entrance is a little too simple, there isnt any "pow-wow" to attract diners.. well... lets see what they have to offer.

As you can see the interior design is really trendy compare to their first branch and really make you feel young and modern when you enter the cafe.

whether you are coming with 1, 2 or 6 friends, they have enough seats for just that.

"car" seat is new, comfortable and cosy, if you are really into scenery, you can always choose to sit by the windows

now lets check out the menu.. the design and layout of the menu is friendlier from their 1st branch..

colourful, and even let you see how the foods will look like

some of the Chef's Signature dish

and this is the order form that you will need to fill up once you know what you going to eat

we ordered a Minestrone Soup. CJ use a big cup as a bowl, nice and neat presentation of it.. the soup taste great, with lots of different kind vegetables in it.. and you have to slurp it when it is still steamy hot... the soup comes with toasted garlic bread, and doesnt taste fantastic.. overall the soup is a must to order for me :)

you can see some carrots, cabbages, celeries, tomatoes, potatoes.. yummy!!!

I ordered myself a Hot Lemon Tea. Its tea flavour is strong, and I have to used 1.5 sachets of sugar to balance its taste... the cafe is a little stinge on lemon.. so please do not expect any lemon fragrant

here comes our Club Sandwich, looks great, and let see if its taste good

Fries taste great, crispy and not really salty.. if you need to have a stronger flavour, a small plate of chilly sauce will do the job... salad is a little a disappointment, it is not in big portion, too much mayo... but if you are looking on the bright side, at least some veges better then no veges at all .. hahaha

and you will be wondering how abt the sandwiches? one word to describe it.. BLEND!!!..  if you need to order sandwiches.. i think Four Leaves has better combination

Chicken Chop Baked Rice looks "authentic" compare to some others self claimed HK cafe..
Chicken chop taste crispy, tender and juicy.. with its sour tomatoe sauce pour onto it, I dont think it is a good mix...BUT it is not a bad dish at all :P, I think they need to change the sauce

Tempura Prawn with QQ noodle is not really a HK style dish, I believe it is mix between Japanese and Chinese... noodle is little to thick.. nothing fantastic actually...
