Finally the day has come for Transfromer to screen, and I have actually book the ticket 1 week advance...

Our itin was really pack with activities, in the morning, we will go for a swim followed by a Dim Sum session at the Cathay Restaurant, then the movie...
Anyway, the agenda today is EAT!!!... haha that is right,,,, The Cathay restaurant,,, I should say the serve quite authentic Cantonese dim sum, and for those who drives, the parking is free from 11 am to 2 pm... so be sure you guys are there early to get a lot...
Most of the dim sum that we ordered are superb, except the rice roll is a little disappointment

The price for all dim sum is very afforfable, and the menu are colourful and clear too. The waiteresses are polite and nice.. and service is up to expectation.. so go ahead try it

This is what we order ...

dried scallop steam dumpling is soft on the outer skin and juicy on the inside, the fillings is full with fresh prawn and with the dried scallop bits on top... mmmm delicious

Steam Custard Bun is big and the the custard is not as as good as East Ocean .. but it worth a try

Siu Mai is big and the fillings are rich and full, and with the crab roe sprinkle on top of it, it brings out the freshness of the sea

this is one of the best Phoenix claw i have taste beside East Ocean and Wah Lok.. it is fat and juicy with a little to it.. it really spice up your appetite..

Za-Leung is the really not that great.. it is just too flat, and with its sauce pouring onto it.. the fried dough absorbed it and make it soggy.. that is not what za-leung suppose to taste

Siew Mai and Har Gao is using the same freshness of prawn, and the the unique part will be they have actually wrap it differenty from the tradtional wrapping...

Longevity  Bun

Fried carrot cake is always our favourite, and with its light golden brown on the outside, you can feel the crispiness and will make you wanting to have more.. but please drink more tea with it

Guo Tie is really not impressive at all..

but over all, I think you should give it a try, as it is not bad after all..

We found this nice place on the Sentosa brochures. We took a Yellow Line bus from the Departure/Arrival station, and you need alight at Beaufort, the restaurant is not far away, well probably a 5 mins walk to Sentosa Golf Club..
When we reach the restaurant, it has a feel that this is different from the rest of a Japanese restaurant.. a little upper class..

We were ushered to our seat, and the whole restaurant only has 2 group of customer, one group is full of japanese (5 ppl) and the other group will be me and my wife.
I like the way they arrange their table setting, and that you dont see in most of the japanese restaurant.. grand and elegant

The waiteress serve us green tea, and follow by Entre dish.. nice...
remember to check out the tea cup,, it is very unique and exquisite, looks that the two side of the handle.. at one glance you can tell it is different

Browsing the menu, jeezz.... no pictures... so we have to use our memory to call out some of the dishes we ate before with other jap restaurant..
We ordered a Chirashi Don.. When I first tuck in, WOW!!!.. this is the best Chirashi Don I have ever taste, better then Tonkichi Restaurant.. the one I have is price at $45, but they have another one @ $60 (deluxe version)...  the fish are fresh and tasty and once it is in your mouth.  It is really heaven  and I really enjoy it

Sanma Shio (a kind of seasonal fish), the seasonal fish, sweet, tender and crispy..:)

Nyu-men tempura, has a very nice and fresh soup base with bouncy noodle.. as for tempura.. it is very normal... but nonetheless, you should try

the only dislike will be the California Maki.  They splur too little crab roe ... hehehe.. but other than that.. they are all fresh with ingredient.

I think you should try the Agedashi Tofu here... it is really different from most of the restaurant in the Singapore mainland... tofu is soft and the skin is crispy, when i said crispy, it is really crispy .. cool!

a side dish Sakuraebi Kakiage (prawn and vege tempura)

after we finished are whole meal, we were served with a hot houji-cha, nice scent and reducing fat and cholesterol

we have check with the waiteress, they have 2 restaurant iin the mainland, one in Le Meridien, the other in Japanese Association...
well...
you can always drive your way to Sentosa, Sentosa Resort and Spa..
This is definitely a good place for traditional Jap food... here is the address
