HUNGRY HEROES @ Tessonsohn

I have been hearing this from many Marvel and DC fans that there is such a Heroes theme cafe which is not far from my place, its about 10 mins drive from Toa Payoh. Now, if you are thinking of doing a walk-in, please don't, try to do a reservation as its fully book most of the day, especially lunch and dinner time.

The facade is nothing interesting, its a repaint from a stretch of old conservation terraces.

But once you are inside, you will definitely taking pictures all the way, not only you will see figurines on the 1st level, the cafe also has a vast collection on the 2nd level too.

There are figurines like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman,  some are 1/6, and some are 1:1 size

 On the 2nd level, you will also get a chance to see some portrait on celebrities, a life size of Superman and Batman too.

If you are thinking of going to the washroom, no worries, 1:1 life size Captain America is guarding the door for you.

You have seen the old Captain America, now here comes the new version of Captain America.

As now is the season of Marvel's heroes, you will also get to see the Thor and Iron Man Mark 6 too

After touring the whole place, its time to sit down to check their menu out.

They have some signature dish. So I have ordered my pork ribs for myselfs and dory fish and chips

The pork ribs that I ordered is quite lean in meat, but lucky it sauce that covers it that given me the full energy to chomp all the way, but given another choice to recommend, its fries is one of the best fries me and wifey have tried, crispy fresh, and tasty, it is so much better then McD.

Dory fish portion is quite small, so it will compliment more to the ladies then guys. Fish is tender and juicy, its buttery gravy is not really that heavy so it really a perfect match if some are on diet.

Over all experience is fun as the figurines really motivate mrs fans to be there.  But I will not hesitate to patronise them again, as I wanted to try all their food .

Domani @ Ngee Ann City

Here come another day where me and wifey bringing my MIL for another great lunch.

SIL always like this cafe Domani @ Ngee Ann City, so this year round, we will go there for her :P

Domani was formerly known as Pasta Cafe, but I think Domani is a better name

Domani as a sleek and cosy ambience

Visual on menu are clear and easy for you to make up your mind on what to eat

here comes the chowder soup

I ordered a Ceasar salad for myself

surprisingly they serve good coffee too

Now.. Overall food taste great and the lobster pasta is obviously a good choice.

but the only setback is that they will need to educate their staff to be more alert when in need

Ma Maison @ The Central

Here is another one of my favourite place, we patronise a few times at their Bugis outlet, and we patronise here a few times too. But it was already pass 1 to 2 years since our last patronise, and we wanted to introduce this nice place to my MIL and SIL.

Ma Maison is really easy to find, as it is located quite near to Chinatown, and it is near to Clark Quay MRT station, just less the few mins walk.

As you can see, their interior decor really has the oldern character and some ornaments are really retro. Just wondering where do they get this item from.

Their menu are big with great pictures, so that you will not miss out a single item.

Here come my dish, beef steak with rice, you can choose spaghetti if you want to…

Its steak is tender and juicy, and its gravy is a little mixture of saltiness and sourness. It does go well with the fats from the steak, and if you eat together with rice, pow wow, its sure hit the jackpot in your stomach.. beautifully feel great 

My MIL ordered this Paella

both wifey and my SIL order his Omelette rice with beef burger.

Its also one of my favourite too.. their omelette is perfectly done, and its burger which mixed with demaglace sauce, is really something.

I will go there again as i have some voucher to spare…

ROBERT TIMMS CAFE @ Orchard

Having passing by Robert Timms (RT) almost every morning to office and to gym, this will be a good place to try out during our birthday celebration feast.

The ambience is no different from any other cafe, probably they focus on food rather then on decor.

As usual we ordered our tea, and specially request some lemons in our glass.

Our Ceasar's Salads tastes superb. Dressing was not over dress, and they sprinkle enough cheese and its bread crumbs with bacon compliment each other very well.

I can remember all name, the Ox ribs was really big, and the chef braised in a way that it is tender and juicy. If they sreally serve rice, it sure goes well with the gravy that was filled on the plate..

Over all, we had a enjoyable meal, staff was nice…

Great place for chit chat too.

Pies and Coffee at Robertson

I spotted this place when wifey company moved to Kim Yan which is quote near to Robertson Quay.

Found this small cosy cafe, which is a good place for me to drink and also a place to wait for my wife. And over here, they offer free wifi for customer who patronise them. I love this place now.

After ordering, the waiter gave me this beeping device, where it will beep you to collect the drinks.

Now, I ordered a Orange zest cake with my usual long black. Surprisingly, it came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream to accompany it. It sure is a double sweet deal

The cake sweetness is slightly overpowering, and luckily i ordered a Long Black so that match it perfectly.  The cake is soft and spongy, I can even taste the orange zest. If you eat together with the vanilla ice cream, here comes the heaven in-front of you.. just kidding. Its taste deliciously great.

Its long black is a little too strong for me, as i taste a sour after I swallow it… 

Maybe I still not a good coffee drinker as yet.. But it is still a nice black coffee, and its fragrant is sure a kill.
