Lao Bei Jing @ Velocity Novena

This is another Chinese Restaurant which we have not been patronise for many many years.  Ambience  and decor has not change, but the only changes are they employ more PRC now.

They have slightly change the menu with more visual.

Their Dumplings are still forever taste good, and yes, it definitely has to eat it hot, but do be careful not to get burn :P

Here is another one of the signature dish, the Crystal Jade fried tofu, it is still live up to the standard that we tasted many years ago. And this one dish I strongly recommended.

This is the best fish .. I mean best dish, the sweet sauce will definitely open your appetite after so much from the above, the meat are chunky and soft, with the sauce pour into it, you sure feel that you are in heaven..

You just wouldn't believe it, this restaurant is one of the most difficult to have a reservation, and we need to book one month in advance to treat my MIL. The last time we tried was many many years ago, when they were at next to Sheraton Hotel.

They are now at Odeon Buidling, lets go in and check it out.

The ambience looks grand and presentable, but if you are you thinking of have a big wedding dinner, I urge you think twice, as they dont really have a big place here. Probably a small birthday party will do.

Here comes our egg tart. Nothing fantastic, but it is still better some restaurant.

This is one dish you must really try as this is so call their signature one.

Its crispy skin really crunch when you put it in your mouth, and one bite you will have the fat flowing, running around it, and with the dipping of mustard sauce, it is just a perfect match.

Siu mai, is tasty and with the fresh roe on it, this dim sum will really want you to ask for more, do remember to go with some chilli as it will enhance its flavour too

The rest of the dim sum is really tasty and we have no regrets coming here and have no regrets treating my MIL. If you are looking for a place to treat your friend well..

Pique Nique Cafe @ Ngee Ann City

I work out in Ngee Ann most of the day, has been always walk pass this cafe.

Told my wife I will try this place out, and if it is good, I will bring her here.

The place is pretty cosy, and they even have some car-seat by the side. And if you have finish your shopping trying to look for a place to have a nice cup of coffee or if you are looking for place to meet up friends for a nice catch up.. this could be a place for you to gather.

Their menu is quite unique and retro, choices are very clear cut and you dont have to worry that they have too much to choose from

So far I have tried their waffle with ice-cream. This is one great waffle I have tried, its texture are fluffy and soft. Going with coffee seems like a obvious choice.

Next the French Toast.  I think they have over done it on the outside, but its still fluffy in the inside, and I almost finish it all.

Overall verdict, I will still patronise them as I need to try some of their food on menu that is very tempting.
