Dinner at Watami Ion

Dinner at Watami Ion

文章日期:01/28/2011 09:01 pm
We just move into a temporary house and almost settled down. We have not been to Ion for almost a year now.. and thought that, why dont we just have our dinner there..
Initially we thought of having our dinner at Sun with Moon in Wheelock place.. but after a few rounds in Ion, Watami set meals actually attracts our attention... and so why not.. let tuck in..
BTW.. the photographs that you will be seeing now are from my Nokia N8 phone... not that bad after all.

The serving staff is nice and polite and they are even courteous than Singaporean.. (hey Singaporean, buck up!!!)..
The ambience is cosy and bright, unlike some jap restaurants are dark and rowdy.

this is one great ceiling that catches me... it reminded me of a movie.. Close Encounter of the 3rd Kind (if I get the name right)..

nice cosy sitting arrangement

and table setting too

its menu are full of colourful selection... so .. you need not have to worry abt lack of choices

we have ordered a set menu meant for 2 person... it is a $45 set menu comprises of the following:
Half Watami Salad, it consists of assorted mixed vege with chicken meat, its salad sauce seems like a concoction of roasted sesame with miso paste.. unique and yet tasty

butter corn with potatoes,, "Corn Jaga Butter" - so so only

Half Tori Negi - the chicken meat taste a little too dry, but with a little sour and salty sauce, it does make a little different on the meat texture

Sukiyaki Nabe and Udon to go with it..

and this will be the Hire Katsu before without egg

and Jire Katsu with egg... chicken meat is tender and with the egg yolk surrounding it..  I should say the Japanese are really smart in creating this dish

you will be surpriese that they have this Korean delicacy too.. thats rite.. the BBbap, nothing fantastic.. Lot one is still the best

and this what we have done at the end of our meal... we clean it all

verdict: I will go there again... and it is fun and nice chatting with the staff there too ..
