Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner 2011
GONG XI GONG XI GONG XI NI AR, GONG XI GONG XI GONG XI NIIIIIII....
Over here, we would like to wish everybody Happy Lunar New Year, may we have abundance wealth and a prosperous year every year
.. Reunion dinner is a traditional culture where all chinese around the world will definitely practise... it is a day where everyone will gather together to eat with our parents, brothers, sisters and not forgetting the young one... chat what has been happening for the past one year.. as for this year, we kind of doing it early by a few days in advance.. be it we do it early or later,,, the Chinese New Year mood is already in us...
My mom had already prepared the full set of dishese for this big reunion dinner.. of course with the help from my sis and bro.. as for the little one.. they are still running round the house playing hide and seek
(its only a 5 room flat, where to hide?)
for starter and appetiser, slice steam prawn with vege
Century egg, escargot ... oops, we miss out the ginger part
Chinsese Mushroom with...dont know what is this vege call la...
"Wu Xiang" - deep fried bean curd roll
we have duck
Mixed Vege which is my favourite
our own "Poon Choy"
and of course my mom signature dish, Hainanese Chicken Rice
and the cannot be miss out chilli for Chicken rice, the best compare to all the food court...
we started our dinner around 6 pm, and ended ard 8.30 pm.
it is really a enjoyable evening... but this event can only occur on special event.. other wise it will sure wear out my mom.. but nontheless, thanks mom for preparing this dinner... and we already eat until our stomach "zheong pop pop"
now.. next round where shall we go and eat leh :p
