Yum Cha with YY couple in Imperial Great World City
MR YY and me have not been yum cha-ing for quite a while. After our last gathering at Modesto's, we decided to yum cha at this Imperial Treasure during the holiday festive season..
We are fortunate that we are able to reserve a table for four pax. Upon reaching the place, as usual, we were told to wait for around 15 mins..
Waitress: "Mr Tan, your table is ready" in Cantonese... so we went in... cosy table at one corner
and bright red lantern lighting on top of us
I will not bored you with all the dishes name... here goes the verdict ..
this, the pastry is thick and oily, this should eat last as it will fill up all your appetite .
Soft and crispy for this fried carrot cake, not oily, if u still have room in your stomach.. u still can eat more :)
Phoenix Claw or Chicken feet :)... fat and juicy, not spicy, but a little oily, good to have some rice to go with it
Steam pork rib, not fat, but really keep some juicy part of it.. not salty, and the meat is tender..
as for this yam cake.. verdict.. no comment
Fried dough rice skin,,, dough is fresh crispy and soft, rice skin is thin .. remember to eat it when it is still hot
larva custard bun... it is always a good dessert.. but it size is just too big.. east ocean size is better..
as for the last few cakes and tarts, i dont find it fantastic..
but nontheless,,, dim sum is one of the best beside East Ocean, Crystal Jade, WahLok...
dont forget to call for booking to avoid disappointment..
