Recently our email has been blasted with many many discount emails from Groupon, Voucherwow and Deal .. there is this one particular which looks very interesting...
A $3.50 voucher for a Set Dinner at Donmenya worth $11.. it is more than 50% discount :P
so we bought it via the website, and hopefully they will not compromise on food quality
here we are, it is a small japanese eating place and share with another dessert shop
Its menu are quite attractive, and with it great range of varieties.. you really will have a tough time thinking what u want to eat.
first come our tea..
now our chawamushi... this i want to talk abt
1st scoop ..mushroom
2nd scoop, japanese fish cake
3rd scoop, crab stick.. now why I want to talk abt this is... not only this smell good, smooth texture, and it taste less salty... it is good for those who want low salt diet.. this is a good appetiser
i have ordered a Unagi Don, its not salty at all, the meat is really thick and its fat is juicy running inside your mouth... i dont mind eating again ..
next this is chicken don.. a little salty, but still taste good, the chicken meat is really in chunk, and tender, and if they lower the salt level, it will be very very perfect... you can consider sharing half of this with your friend ..
The miso is good and tasty, the colour of the soup is not orangee at all, and sodium level is low too
and comes with vege too (small qty la)
now it is time for dessert.. this u have to pay for it as it is not in the voucher..
this is what we used to see the famouse snowflak dessert from taiwan.. too bad we are not able to taste it there... but so .. why dont i taste it here :P
you have several flavour to choose from..
so we chose the one which is the corn snowflake without the topping, so the poor girl stare at us thinking that we are joking abt the no topping.. we assure here, we only want to taste the snowflake not the topping
you can choose the sweet level.. and so.. we chose the one with low sweet..
walaa... here comes our order... refreshing, smooth, and it should comes with a bigger portion
over all i should say.. this small stall really is a good choice and it is a budget choice..
and it is worth a trip here to eat...
