Modern Mooncake from Taiwan
Mooncake festival is a festival that every Chinese around the world is looking forward to celebrate, especially the young and the old...
The young will be readily stand outside the house ready to pick up the lantern to go out for a stroll with their parents, and as for the adults, they will probably celebrate outside with friends or inside their house munching the delicious mooncake and sip with great Oolong Tea.
We actually have a few choice of mooncake in mind that we want to buy, it is Maxim from HK, Taipan from HK and 手信坊 from Taiwan..
After a few round of searching in Taka, we found the one from Taiwan, and without hesitation, we bought this set of four.. which I believe you will definitely love it.. and let me show you one by one at a time.
Its packing not only presentable, but yet it is really a good gift to your love one.
tadaaaa... there are four flavour in it.. but i just couldnt recall what they are..
i remember there are some vanilla chocolate, chestnut... something like that..
but anyway.. they all looks yummy to me
1st u have the shape of a bumble bee
follow by a peach
follow by a white cherry
and mini pumpkin...?
now.. let start our 1st operation
we will start with this white glutinous cherry top
wa laa... what u see here is a small portion of sponge cake, a chestnut, and fresh cream around it, and is wrap around with the soft glutinous skin...
it was a sticky start, but when we put it inside out big mouth, "blink-blink", it is not too sweet, the sweetness is just right, the cream is not very rich, and yet it brings out the texture, and the chestnut is tasty.. and the best part.. the glutinouse skin is smooth and delicious... = Hong Kong 甜品雪莓娘
my verdict... "Chang ar" !!!
cant wait to try the next 3 snacks.. as for now.. stay tune.. will try to give u a full report next time
