It has been quite a sometime trying out new eating place...
after reading blog from Crystal, I told my wife that we need to try out Zhou's Kitchen (another restaurant by Tunglok Group).
Zhou's Kitchen is located just opposite Ikea Alexandra, a small "fortress" by itself... and with its big signage and a "zen" pond built at the entrance, it really makes you think what can Zhou's offer you...

The signage is really big and clear, there is no way you are going to miss it

even though the fish pond is shallow, but it does brings out a little "zen" oriental feel.

When we are inside, it has a mixed decor of the new "old", and most of the theme white.

even the ceiling fans are of rustic silver

table decor are simple, when we sit down, the waitress will bring out a basket of prawn crackers and a special chilli sauce for you to dip on the crackers.. nice!!!

All branched menu are all laid on the table for you to browse, it is a good advertisement to promote on all the branches

I like this lady.. sweet and has modern oriental feel

the menu are colourful with pictures, so that you will be able to see what you are going to order

and some of the best recommendation by the chef too

here is the phoenix claw that I will definitely order.  The claws are a little lean, and the after taste is not spicy compare to East Ocean.  But it is still a good dish that I think you should not miss

Now, here is the die die must order dish, Fried Rice Roll with XO sauce, 煎肠粉, this is the best.. like I have just mentioned.. it is a die die must order and a die die must try. We thought it will be not as good as East Ocean or Crystal Jade, Zhou's Kitchen proves you wrong.. this is the best Rice Roll we have tasted so far.. and if have good recommendation on other restaurant.. please feel free to tell me ...

look at it interior after the first bite, thick, curvy and another great word "YUMMY" !!!

look at this steam scallop dumpling, the presentation really makes you think twice before u tug in.. scallop are fresh and meaty and the prawn are tender... not forgetting the skin of the dumpling.. it melts in your mouth too...

and here Fired Rice XO Seafood 极品海鲜炒饭, in fact it is not really 极品, it really looks different from the menu, but on the other hand, it doesnt taste bad too.. but one thing you will to take note on this, it has too much MSG in it.. there are a few option that you can choose.  You can choose not to order this dish, if you really want to order, make sure you drink lots of water

and finally my wife's favourite mini egg tart 酥皮蛋挞.  The pastry is tasty and with good texture, as for the egg custard, not that bad, but it can be better

after all, after all the eating and tasting, I will definitely come back again.  I like the cosy environment and able to view outside through the glass panel. As for the food, it really has many choice for you to choose, and further more, price are good, and we had already decide where to bring our parents for the next outing...
when you are free, you can drive to this place, 368, Alexandra Road, Tel: 64731123
