Secret Garden - HK, 10th Oct 2008
Finally, it is my 2nd day in HK. My wife has the urged to try out this Korean restaurant located in Central HK.. She spotted this restaurant when she accidentally stumbled onto one of the forum, the review was good.. and with no objection, we decided to go ahead...
When we reached the destination, wow.. the queue was pretty long, we were greeted by the manager if we can wait for 20 mins.. of course we can :).. so we sit down, waiting for our turns to go in...
after 20 mins, the manager bring us to one of the "car" seat... it is not a very posh place, but it is a very neat place, and pleasant table presentation too
One thing that i dont like is that the menu doesnt come with much choices.. and 2ndly, the menu cant really talk to you (because there are no pictures in it.. hahahahha)
this set looks pretty interesting.. so we decide to order this
here comes their appetizer... wow.. look at this, this is one the best that i have tried so far
this taste just rite, non salty, not soggy...
Kim chee is the best here.. it does not have any funny taste, compare to some Korean restaurant. It is not that spicy, very nice taste and very refreshing... if they have more of this, i think i will keep on consuming it
slice carrot, radish and cucumber dip on vinegar, it is the same as we have taste in the chinese retaurant, refreshing and very appetizing
this rice floor cake is a little disappointing, but i really like the one that we last had in Tanjong Pagar, Singapore
now here comes the set that my wife's has ordered
Beef Short Ribs Stew, the beef really melts in your mouth, the stew is sweet, and if you eat with rice, it is really heaven....
Spicy Bean Curd Soup is the most spicy soup that i have had so far, it is not as spicy as Tom Yam soup, the its spiciness can really kill you.. if you are not spice eater, best to avoid this
Grilled Mackeral portion is a little to small, a little dry on its meat, but it taste not that bad after all (if they have give u a bigger portion, that will be very nice)
Stone Pot rice, BiBiBab is for me, look at the ingredients, colourful, fresh and you can really here the sizzling from the hot pot,,,,zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....
and me ... working hard on stirring the BBB, and the verdict, we preferred the one in Lot 1 food court
