Made in China (Hua Song) - SG, 14th June 2008

Here comes another Saturday, it is a good thing that Fathers Day falls on the weekend... when we last suggest to my dad and mum lets celebrate Fathers day at Hua Song.. my mum sounded so exciting and she will make sure that dad remember that ...
Hua Song restaurant is located inside the Haw Par Villa (one of the place of interest in Singapore), you can check this web page http://www.spi.com.sg/spi_files/haw_par/main.htm. and We spotted this restaurant 2 years back... When we mentioned to our parents that we will be having lunch together in Haw Par Villa, their reation is.. What!!.. are you sure? you mean there is a restaurant?.. and I reply them.. Yes! this shows that they have not been there since when I was 10 years old :P... wow..
here we are, the entrance of the restaurant,

The decor inside is very serene.. and do u know that there is a Museum inside it? yes.. there is one.. and it is free, you can actually walk into the museum while waiting or when you have finish your meal..

The table setting is nothing special

They can do better on them menu, probably with some pictures will be nice

before the food arrive, here is a place of spicy pickles for you to nibble.. this is called "a-Cha", the main ingrdient will be pineapple cubes, slice cucumber, shredded carrot, and peanut crumbs.. and then soaked in the vinegar for couple of days.. and here you go.. and it is quite spicy too

we ordered a half a Crispy Skin Roast Chicken, the chicken seems to be a little dry, it doesnt taste tender at all, and our verdict for this.. Cathay restaurant taste better

here come the French Bean with pork Shrimp, when it touches our table, you can see the French bean is hot with smoke flying up into the air.. They should have the French Bean cut slightly shorter, with that it will be a good dish

Prawn with pumkin paste is one of the best dish we have so far, even my parents said this is good, prawn is tender and bouncy, with its unique pumpkin paste on it.. it really make your mouth explode with that nice aroma...

Crystal Jade Bean Curd with mushroom vegetable is not that bad too compare to Lao Bei Jing...the bean curd is smoother theb LBJ..and they are not stingy with the fungus.. you have to try this

I have not try 三杯鸡Claypot chicken, it really taste nice, it has this special vinegar taste, and not forgetting some chinese wine too.. and it sure is a little spicy, and if you go with rice.. it is really perfect...

and finally Seafood /Egg Hor Fun 滑蛋海鲜何粉, the standard of this has drop since the last time we ordered.. but it is still a good dish to order.. they are really rich with the seafood, scallop, prawn, squid, fish .. try this!

and here comes the bill.. total will be $141.25

this will be a good eating place if you and your family are visiting Haw par villa...if you have no where to go during the weekend.. do come here.. it is only $5 for parking fee and it is redeemable when you are patronising the restaurant..
