A few weeks ago, a group of friends were supposed to have a gathering here, but at the end, we dont have the chance to come.. but if you are to check the website.. they actually do serve some nice set lunch here.. do take note that they dont serve set lunch on weekend... :(
So me and my wife were looking forward for the set lunch, but as per my mentioning a few words ago.. we were disappointed.. but nonetheless,, we still proceed with our usual adventure.. and hopes you can get some food out of it...
By the look at the entrance, it really gives you a feel of a upper class restaurant.. a little dark, but quite cosy.. I really must say

When we first walk-in.. everyone is busy preparing for the day, so they really didnt notice us standing at the entrance for the past 10 mins, and was later usher to table for 2..

The Menu is very colourful, and by the look at it actually give you the appetite, adn looking forward to taste the chef standard.. the restaurant service 2 set of menu on weekend.. A-la-carte set and buffet set... as for the buffet set, they serve mainly sushi and sashimi.. Frankly speaking, we are not here to eat sushi.. and we are here for the REAL food.. and we ask for the A-La-carte.. the waiteress look at us and confimed if we are ordering the A or B.. of course A.. and that is what I told her... reluctantly, she took away the buffet menu and asking if we are ready to order...
OMG.. we did not even warm up our seat for 5 mins, and already ask me if we can order ! I gave a stern a look, and talk nicely we are not ready yet.. and she walk away after getting my answer..
Back to the restaurant...

We ordered the green tea.. I am very please with the teaware they present.. nice tea pot as compare to most of the Japanese restaurant...

Nice tea cup and plates,, the restaurant really wants to give u that zen ambience..

and then, they serve u a appetiser.. i think, a small little cup with tofu underneath and a small pc of tuna on top of it, with some soya sauce and sesame oil added to it.. my wife doesnt really fancy it, and I really dont find it interesting too.. but at least we experience it..

We ordered a plate of Ehire (Dried Stingray Fin), it is hard when you first bite and soft after mixing with you saliva, not really salty, but it does has some sweet after taste.. this is a really good plate if you are going out with a bunch of friends having beer or sakae.. good side dish for it.

next we ordered a California Hand roll, this is the fullest handroll we have taste so far... rich in ingrdients and fresh avocado, and with its thick crab meat stick.. its really yummy... I really dont mind having another roll...

here is the close up

here come the Gohan set, which comes with rice, miso soup and pickles..

we ordered Gyuniku Shogayaki.. the beef are thin and tender, ,and with it special sauce, it really wants you eat more rice,, with the sweet sauce been suck into the meat.. they are really juicy... this is a dish I think you must try...

next the Agedashi tofu, a little spicy, and it is not hot at all compare to some of the restaurant that we have tried... the skin is not crispy at all, and tofu is just ok.. sauce is great and not salty... but really like the presentation, it is not dull at all after the chef has garnish it.. so this dish will have a vote from me.. on garnishing...

That is all we had, and the total bill will be S$ 56.... as for the verdict, food are ok, restaurant  are good for family and friend gathering, if they can add a little more light, that will be great
The only dislike will be service, they are not sharp and caring, and I believe the manager need to address this area...
well.. if you are nearby that area.. you can always give it a try...
