Kopitiam - Plaza Singapura, 26th Jul 2008
After a hard work in the morning doing steam cleaning on our sofa cushion cover.. by the time we finished our chores, it is about time for lunch... my wife suggested to try the food court in Plaza Singapura... We have been to this place several times, but we dont have the chance to try the food there...
You may be saying all food courts taste the same,, I can tell you they are not..
After trying out so many food courts... some are good and some are really bad...
espeically this one,, this is bad until I do not know what to say...
this is the entrance of the Kopitiam on the 5th level
and they are forever crowded
after walking one round, and seeing that the Omu rice displaying outside one of the Japanese stall.. my wife decided to order it
by the time they finish it preparing,, the Omu rice doesn look like Japanese Omu rice, it just looks like 3 fried egg covering over the rice...
and you know what,,, this is even disappointing... the rice underneath the omelette is infact chinese fried rice... they should not call this Japanese Omu rice... they should call chinese Fried egg rice...
In fact this is the worst Omu rice i have ever taste, the one in Bugis Junction food court is even better then this... this is tasteless, non japanese,, and no word to describe it..
I think they can do better...
Next we order their Yako Taki, so far this is not that bad...
as for me, I went to another booth to order the Thai Chicken chop with spicy sauce...
the rice are dry, and the egg are too well cook, chicken meat are really well done, and the skin are crispy too... I wouldnt say it is a die die must eat.. but it is fit for human consumption.
we ordered a side dish of fried dumpling from another stall... the meat in it is rather ok.. if the skin can be a little thinner.. that will be great...
