It is another one of our monthly gathering for our Hong Kong friends and bloggers who are staying and working in Singapore..
This time round, this is the first time that we are having our gathering at night.. you might ask "where is the place?".. it is none other then Red Star Restaurant.. one of the oldest restaurant in Singapore.. I can still remember when I was around 5~7 years old... my dad used to bring the whole family here for dim sum... :P
Red Star is located in between Clark Quay and Chinatown ... and if you ask the Taxi Driver to drive you there.. they will definitely know where is the place even if you do not give them the actual address

as you can see here.. they did not actually renovated much.. and they still keep the same old decor from day I had their dim sum

They dont belong to any Communist community.. just that they need this star to represent RED STAR.., :)

they still have the same old table layout

and the same old ceiling.. i think they have change the lighting to make it more brighter

some pickles to start off before we ordered our food...

hmmm.. talking about food, lets check out what they have in their menu.. for a start.. they really change their menu

large varieties and is colourful too

see how happy Mrs HO is...

well... i am not going to type the name of the dishes.. most of the food are at an acceptable level.. but i will mentioned later which are the one that you will need to look out for...

the roast duck is meaty and juicy, the only thing that they need to improve is that they have to the duck skin crispier

this is the must try pork ribs, and it is one their best dish in this restaurant.. tender, juicy and definitley tasty

Hot plate venison is another dish that you will need to order,,, not only it meat are tender, it has a texture that you will definitely eat more

see how enjoyable the Ada family is.. hin hin is enjoying his own food too
