It was one of those sunny weekday. The sky is clear and blue, and sun is forever shining onto you..
We have not been to Ion Orchard for a long time ever since its big bang annnouncement in national media...
I can still remember the first time when we visit this place, it was crowded with people and you can hardly walk in fast pace... but this time, you can actually walk easily, seems like the heat is really cooling down now, as frankly speaking, there is really nothing much to see or even window shopping beisde all those big brands boutique..
We hit directly to the food court right into the basment.. nice name, Food Opera, impressive layout, classy presentation, really par to par level with Republic Food Court
after a few rounds, Jhouse decided on this HK Char Siew and Soya Chicken Rice.. Char Siew is a just too lean, when you first bite onto the meat, I really want to spit it out.. Not only it lacks of a little fat, it is not juicy and tender at all, this meat is out from my list definitely.. as for the chicken, it capture all the tenderness and juciness, so if you really want to patronise this stall.. just go for the chicken and avoid the char siew.
As for me, I order a Hainanese white and roast chicken rice, everything is just perfect, the fragrant from the rice does asking you to tuck in immediately, its white chicken is a little to fat, but its tenderness of the meat really match well with the fat of the skin... this is a good stall, and i dont mind patronise again..
There is one thing I just dont understand, why do they have to serve on such a big plate.. looks a bit wierd and lop-sided
next we ordered some Yong-Tau-fu, we pick a lot of different dumpling with it, all dumpling taste good so far, and I should say it is one of the best... you should tried this
well, probably i will come back again in the next 3 months.. why?
the price there is just not economically justifiable and i believe its mean attraction are or tourist and not for the local...
Food is ok.. but once every 3~4 months is ok for me.. and if u have extra cash to spend.. this is the place for you...
