Mid-Autumn Celebration with YY's couple

文章日期:09/22/2010 10:26 pm
Yesterday was our happiest Mid Autumn celebration.. and we would like to thank YY's couple for sharing their cosy place for this occassion...
When we enter the house, we were greeted by this wonderful traditional and conventional paper lantern.. we were lucky that the heavy rain is over, and it is good to have a cooling night for this event..

Now let me see, what do we have for dinner..? hey, how come they are all wrapped up?

first of all, we have this very healthy, nutritious brown rice

followed by sesame seed egg plant with special roasted sesame sauce to dip with.. it is one korean dish that we have tried before in a korean restaurant

and YYs favourite soya sauce poultry.. yummy.. jhouse has already "mastered" the technique of making this dish.. not only the sauce is simple, the meat is tender, juicy, and "wet wet" too.. I like ....

and of course YYs special order fungus dish... if you are to take a closer look there are actually 3 different type mushroom in this dish... can u guess what it is?

see how happy they are.. lets tuck in for dinner...

After our great dinner, how can we not have mooncake on this special day...
today special, TaiPan snowskin mooncake, and Home's Favourite Durian mooncake.. and not forgetting "tit koon yum", this is a must to go with the mooncake

Snowskin mooncake was originated from TaiPan many years ago, and TaiPan still keep this wonderful tradition even though their originator has job hop to their competitor, M's (I think)

Taipan uses heavily sesame paste for its filling, and to replace the egg yolk, they replace it with grean bean paste.. a bite on it, the aroma of black sesame roaming inside your mouth, and with a sip of tea, it is really a perfect match

and lets move on,, it is time for a group picture... Mr YY is now preparing us for a great shot.. see how pro he is? instructing where to sit, and not forgetting to smile too

this is us the YY's family and Jhouse's family....

now,, after we have tried the taipan let us try this Home's favourite durian moon cake... you can tell from the picture that it is still frozen hard, and so we have to wait for this to defrost.. while waiting, we actually take this opportunity to play our childhood favourites... (scroll on)

before we go for our childhood game, let me slice up this mooncake, you can still see the tiny icicles still clinging onto it... and so we wait ;(

after half hour of playing, we cant wait to have our mouth on this delicious durian mooncake, we eat it slowly, appreciate it this pungent D24 durian filling, and aroma hanging in our throat, and everyone thumbs up except Ms Jhouse :P hahahaha

the richness of D24 really want you to have more

remember I mentioned abt the child toys.,, yup.. it is this fire sparklers, it is a good toy that is meant for the adult and children,

and so we start our fun toys, and during the whole process, we are experimenting all the capabilities from our camera and trying to catch the best shot

Ms YY is really having fun swing round and round and round

we really cant figure out what is she writing, but she is really one creative lady, Mr YY is still trying to light up his sparklers

after we have finished the fun toys, it is time for us to say good bye,,, but before we go, tonite is one beautiful night with a full moon shinning on everyone..

Hereby wishing everyone a wonderful belated Mid-Autumn Day...
