It was supposed to be last week, but unfortunately we really cant make it due to our Chengdu exhibition.
Yesterday was our belated Mother's Day dinner with our great mother. we really can tell she is happy as not everyday we can sit together and dine together.
Red Star Restaurant is always our preferred meeting point as it really bring us back to the day when we are young and we yum cha at this place too.

This assorted platter looks good.. I actually like the duck meat, and the "ngor hiang", char siew is a little lean and hard. Roast meat not bad at all.. but the "fun tai" is a little disappointed.. like rubber :(

Yam ring is a must to order... it hasnt lost their standard.. still crispy, prawn still fresh and yummy



oops.. sorry, forget to take this when it was served... already half gone :)



Sea Cucumber is also one of our favourite..




Roast Chicken is crispy on the outside and tender juicy on the inside... I take 3 pcs already



Hor Fun is also a must have for my dad.. even though it is a mother's day celebration... but without our father, our mother wont be there also.. hahaha (what theory is that)

I have been twice to Chengdu recently.
I really must recommend this wonderful dish from Chengdu which I dont think you can find it in Singapore..
this is recommended by a friend from Chengdu..
they call it Zaza noodle..
it is one of those delicacy along the street side..

looks a lot but you can actually go a few round.
i actually preferred the plain one compare to the one with chilly oil.

here comes this new pickles.. a little salty, a little sour and a little tingle on tounge.. but i like it



I dont know what they call this... it sure taste good



here is one that u need to try.. kelps with knuckles..
I dont usually take this.. but this is really non fat, and the soup is good.

here comes another one recommended by a friend..
I dont usually go for buffet, as I know I am not a buffet guy..
but hearing from a friend that it is very economy, so why not give it a try

Located in nearby city, Central.
Maybe you should try it too.

Its entry quite cosy and give u a very moden look.



spacious and yet "full" of varieties



the cold dessert are tasty and yet not heavy
actually i go for more of this



next come this big piece of Omu.. dry and too big chunk



Its sotong ball are ok.. but no sotong

smooth and tasty

I must say they are all delicious.



ramen also taste great too..  noodles are bouncy and its soup are not salty at all



this sushi and maki are a little disappointed



steam rice and steam egg are perfect match.



dessert totally cant make it.



well..
overall, selection are not that great. So dont put too much expectation on it

This is one place I really my recommend. There is one day my colleague brought me to this place for lunch, saying how good and how good this place is..
Very economy, no compromise on quality, and yet yummy..
and this day, I bring my wifey to this place.

This place quite popular with the communities around there.



First we ordered this special Ice Lemon Tea, but it does has one unique taste, which is... they added lime juice in it.. and this make it unique

We ordered this Chicken burger set
Fries taste great and crispy, the only think wifey commented that it is tasted a little salty.. but it is just nice for me

here comes our Smoke Salmon Salad... this portion is one great one compare to most western cafe we ate outside..
fresh and generours on all greens



Here is our next dish.. Chicken chop with black pepper sauce.

Mash potato are smooth and with it sauce linger around it.. I almost finish it all



Its chicken taste tender and juicy, and not fat at all



and .. we finish it all..



Guess what... its only cost us S$16.50..

will go there with Yeung Yeung couple

Have not been updated myblog for a while.. but nonetheless I still find time to update this...
Chinese New Year is always a year for every to enjoy and eat for all families and colleagues.
Companies will of course organise a dinner for all members to enjoy not only good food, but also to mingle around and get to know each other session too
This year, company has selected Spring Court, pretty near to our office and Chinatown.
Without further a dooooooooooo....
Lets walk in and tuck in :)

As you can see, decor is so-so..
just wondering how its food taste



Yu-sheng looks attractive, in actual, this year I only had 2 Lo-hei.. so I have to make sure that I must Lo until siao...


here comes the master, he will chant all the meaningfuf phrases that is auspicous..
really pity them as they have to remember all the scripts..


at the end of the chanting show.. "HUAT ar!!!!!"

Now I shall not waste too much time talking about the food...
I will pick up those not too good one.... base on my opinion .. ok?
