Pies and Coffee at Robertson

I spotted this place when wifey company moved to Kim Yan which is quote near to Robertson Quay.

Found this small cosy cafe, which is a good place for me to drink and also a place to wait for my wife. And over here, they offer free wifi for customer who patronise them. I love this place now.

After ordering, the waiter gave me this beeping device, where it will beep you to collect the drinks.

Now, I ordered a Orange zest cake with my usual long black. Surprisingly, it came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream to accompany it. It sure is a double sweet deal

The cake sweetness is slightly overpowering, and luckily i ordered a Long Black so that match it perfectly.  The cake is soft and spongy, I can even taste the orange zest. If you eat together with the vanilla ice cream, here comes the heaven in-front of you.. just kidding. Its taste deliciously great.

Its long black is a little too strong for me, as i taste a sour after I swallow it… 

Maybe I still not a good coffee drinker as yet.. But it is still a nice black coffee, and its fragrant is sure a kill.

Men Japanese lunch at Westgate

We have not been to Jurong East for a long period time since we move to Central Singapore.

Ever since West Gate open in Jurong East, wifey was suggesting we should go there to check it out.

We stop by this small eatery at the basement, without further exploration, we just went in, find a seat, and start checking out what they have.

Their decor are pretty decent, not too overpower with Japanese detailing, but yet they can offer some simple japanese food

Wifey ordered a Katsu Don, lets try it. Its rice taste a little dry, and pork meat are not juicy enough to call it great.. but nonetheless, it is still a good meal that can make you smile too.

As for me, as usual I ordered a Salmon Sashimi rice set… 

Surprisingly, you can taste it freshness, and portion isn't that great. I would like to order more, by as for value for money…. hmmmm.. better think twice before ordering

Imperial Windows, Sommerset 111

Its a day where my wifey colleagues came down from Hong Kong to do the setting up of their Server and Computer in Singapore office. As a host here, I think this place is a good place for them to feel a little at home and at the same time we can chat freely at our own volume too..

We patronise Imperial Windows in Sommerset frequently, too bad we dont get any VIP treatments. Their food is one of the good one, lets scroll down one by one…

I must recommend this, Curry Beef Brisket rice.  The curry scent always remind me the time when I was in HK, the soft brisket just melts in your mouth. I usually dont take potatoes when they served with rice, but I actually ate it all.. this in local terms.. DIE DIE MUST TRY.

This the 3 meat steak, you have the Chicken, the pork and the sausage. Now, do take note that, it can be quite over kill, as it will sure bloat your small stomach.  The chicken chop is tender and juicy, and the peppery sauce blends well with all the 3 meat. NICE is the word.

Kim Gary Vivo and ION

Its has been years since we last visit Kim Gary many many years ago. And wifey tried once recently told me to go there again as the last time we have a really bad experience with their food quality.

There are 2 venue that we went on different dates.

This one you see now is at Vivocity. When I walk in, it sure brings back that old memory when we ate here.

Now, somehow they have change their ordering process where we have to tick the food that we want to order on this few colour tag paper.

We order a Hot Lemon Coffee.. yucks.. this will be the last time I am ordering this.. next the Borsch soup.. this surprisingly taste great, well its either the used too much tomatoes or they use paste or just pour in the MSG.

 Here comes our dish… not that great presentation, but it sure is what you see is what you get on the menu.

Lets taste the food, the meat are soft and tender, and the sauce are not too over power, I like their sunny side egg, as it was nicely well done one.

another dish will be the instant noodle soup.. Noodle was done at the right texture with chewy feel, and the soup is just like normal pack from the instant noodle.

 Here, this is located at ION, a very prestigious and prime location. When we were there, it was not really that crowded

The varieties in the menu looks interesting, but I prefer to have more pictures then guessing.

Hot milo for wifey and ginger coke for me.

This is one dish you must try, bake curry pork. It does have a little spiciness, and tasty at the same time. the meat was tender, and the cheese was baked just nice and gooey…  i will sure patronise this dish again..

I am happy with Kim Gary food this year, and I must say they improve a lot.  Keep it up KG..

Caffe Bean, Chengdu, Sichuan, China

The 1st time when I was in Chengdu was 2 years ago. And when I went back to Chengdu having some training, I was surprise of all the changes from zero to a great city.

During our stay at Neptune Centre, the project that we are marketing, this cosy little cafe called Caffe Bean, sits right at the corner of Neptune Centre, which keep saying to me, "Come on in, try me"… and here is how my lunch begin.

The ambience is cosy and it is a nice place for a group casual chat, or sitting there alone reading papers and even play some games on my Note 3.

 

This place is a perfect place for having meeting, and with its half resort half country decor themes.. I wonder where am I now.

Varieties are not there, but its sufficient to satisfied your stomach...

Here comes my Brunch, looks decent and I am really happy with the way they present it on this dish

They serve great coffee, and on that day I ordered 3 cups, and still I am not caffeine poison :)
and I think they overdone the sausages, still its not that bad

I will still patronise them if I am there again.

Tonkichi at Takashimaya

Its has been quite a while since our last visit to Tonkichi.  Me and wifey just happen to walk pass this Japanese restaurant while we were at Takashimaya, and suddenly this Katsu Don, Chirashi Don start to walk pass my mind, and I told my wife that I need to eat here.

This place is rather new to my wife but to me, even though I came once by myself, i still can't remember the place.

This place is pretty cozy, and its menu still looks very attractive with varieties.

I ordered the Sashimi Set, which you can see comes with a plate of assorted sashimi, a croquette and the usual rice and soup.

The freshness is no need to say,,,, FRESH...

My wife ordered a ???? can't remember what the fish called :) and it comes with Agedashi tofu too

Well… if you are ever here.. really must try

Dome at Johor Premium Outlets

I always wanted to drive to Johor Premium Outlets, but due to reason I am not familiar with the way to go there, we have to travel with a tour agency.

Now, we saw this DOME restaurant there, and its about time for lunch. Lets tuck in..

there is one great things I noticed in their menu, they have much more varieties then in Singapore.

Minestrone soup is equivalent to 2 bowl in Singapore, tasty and yet not salty.. 

 This Salad with bacon bits portion is tremendously big then Singapore, and it taste good too..
The greens are fresh, and the bacon and crimps are crunchy, and it dressing and cheese are just nice..

We are really very full, and the next time when we are here, we will definitely not order so many dish :P
