1st/2nd day of Lunar New Year dinner/lunch

This dinner is what i have been waiting for, that is right, my MIL specialty..
vegetarian dish...
i consume almost half the plate,  and that is where i have to limit myself.. if u know what i mean.. hahaha

and here are home cook chicken, fresh, lean and tender

on the 2nd day of the Lunar New Year, we had maxim for breakfast

i am really surprise that Maxim has this Pandan Cake from Singapore/Malaysia.. and so i have decided to try it...  it really has the sponge texture, but the Pandan flavour is a bit over power, and i believe they are using the pandan essence rather then using the pandan leaves to bake it

and this coffee cake is creamy and soft, and remember to refrigerate it,, it will be better that way :)

next we are preparing to have our next round of lunch with our relatives...

today is very crowded, and the place is tight too

and here are all our dish that we ordered...
this is steam bean-curd, soft and tasty, taste good if it is eaten with rice

here comes our fried prawns fritter, it is wrap up in some kine of vermicelli and deep fried it...
crunchy when first bite, and tender meat on inside

here is our "char leung", the skin is rather thick and it fried dough is just too soft.. this should be eaten with cracking sound

i dont have the chance to try this, but i think it should taste good too

as for this beef ball, tender and bouncy when put into your mouth, too bad i can only eat half the beef ball...

Xiao Long Bao should always be eated when it is hot, the skin is carefully wrap around the meat inside, and with it technically thin skin, it manage to hold the soup inside too

this fried rice looks different from what we have, it it is really tasty and non-salty... it will be great if it comes with bigger serving

this noodle is one good dish that i have tried.. the vermicelli absorbed all the gravy that is pour onto it.  and when you slurp the noodle into your mouth, you can feel the soup passinig by you lips and making you to want to have more.

the custard bun taste good too, but i have to refrain myself from eating more :P

but if you have a smaller group.. .they do have rooms that meant for 4 to 6 too..
