1st day of Lunar New year

Today is the first day of Chinese Lunar New Year, what you now is our morning breakfast at 8.30 am...
The one I had is new to me... it is called the cube.. they have 2 variety, one is with chocolate filling and the other is with custard filling... as for this .. i am having the choco...
it is a little hard on its outer layer, probably due to the cold weather...

but when you dig it in, the chocolate filling can make u eat another one..

my wife is having this pork floss bread, a little dry on its bread, so do remember to prepare a cup of tea beside it... you might need it...

Now, we are on our mission to our first Lunar New Year Lunch..
this restaurant is located ard Taikoo ...

a little quiet that day, which i really like it.. not so noisy, and we can talk without raising our voice too.. hahahaha

Most of the restaurant have chandelier here, and I actually enjoy eating by looking at it

here come our first order, Custard bun

This bun is no ordinary bun, you have to eat with cautious, when you first bite, it ooze all the filling out into your mouth it has the same logic as chocolate lava, but it is custard instead of thick chocolate... this is a recommended dish, if you have a chance to try it

see how it is ooze out :)

next our porridge... sweet with meat, and not so oily

and here comes our fried radish pastry... u have to eat while it is still hot...

this is also another dish that you should try, that is the fried bean curd.. it is crunchy on outside

and juicy meat on inside.. just remember to eat it in ration, as most dim sum in HK are fried, and it is is very heaty when u eat too much fried food

now here comes our har kao, fresh ingredient, juicy, but a little fat though.. anyway.. who cares... lets dig in

next is the shredded chicken noodle, this you have to eat it cold,, this is one authentic dish which i have tried so far, it has rich peanut sauce with strong sesame oil fragrant... the rice noodle are bouncy and chicken meat are tender and soft

this is a good lunch for that day, and our greatest surprise lies ahead in our hotel.
that is, we were greeted with one Merlot and a fruit palette... cool...
