Me and my wife always wanted to try this place, everytime we drive pass the hotel.. as you know.. my wife is a chicken rice lover.. and she likes to try any outlets when she sees one :P

 

and this time she had the chance :).. I parked my car in Bugis Juunction, as it just seperated by a road, so we take a slow stroll on a hot sunny day... and it is really hot sunny day..

 

The restaurant has a very unique decor, with egg paper box as their wall paper, as u can see on the pictures.. and every decor is a combination of east and the west..

and even the kitchen is open concept, and u can what they are doing...

 

 

Menu is colourful, and you can look at the pictures before u order.. that is a plus point... and now we begin to order our dish :)

 

 

1st .. of course the chicken, which range from small, medium, large.. the meat is lean and tender..

the skin is smooth and surprisingly, it is not that fat.. so do feel safe to consume the skin with the meat

 

 

2nd.. we  ordered a Fish maw with mixed vege, fresh brocolli and cauliflower..but just want to remind you that you can actually taste the MSG with it.. not much though.. but it is still tasty

 

 

and 3rd of course the rice... how can ordered a chicken rice without the rice :P..

the fragrance of the chicken broth really makes you want to have the 2nd bowl.. yummy!!

 

 

and lastly we ordered a 2 glass of lime juice.. very delicious juice...as it is not from canned drink... and its really quenched your thirst and later the fats from the chicken .. hahaha

 

 

After the whole meal.. i think everyone is waiting for the verdict ... fish maw vege is good - A, chicken rice, it is smell nice and tasty - A, as for the chicken, I will give it a B-.. as we had better chicken rice then here... and if u ask me overall... A-

 

 

 

you still can try here... and they have more dish than just chicken rice....

We found this place when we surf the internet, it is a new branch from Kuriya, and it is located just at the heart (almost) in town...

This place is very cosy,  we were greeted by the waitress, and before we were lead to our seat, the waitress present us with some nice catch from Japan.. (actually they are promoting their delicacy), we politely rejected her that we are not on a fish mood that day. 

Nice table setting when we step in, clean and neat... Kuriya is one of the upper class restaurant for the Jap food..  and they always emphasise on ambience and table arrangement 

we were then serve with a side dish, not that fantastic at all..  Finally ordering time!!!

We ordered a Lobster salad, which served with avocado, nice spread of greens.. this is tasy.. except that the lobster was mix with some mayo and wasabi..

I ordered the Soba Shokado for myself, the rice was filled different kind of raw fish, and it compliment with tempura, steam egg, deep fried chicken and Chilled Soba.. the fish are fresh, tempura are nicely friedm chicken are tender and juicy and the noodle are cold and refreshing..

As for my wife, she ordered the Kuriya Shokado, teriyaki chicken and soft shell crab. and compliment with a plate of raw fish, tempura, steam egg. and they both taste good...

It took us abt 30~45 mins to finish our sets, then came the ice cream dessert, and follow by complimentary tea drinks.

the last owner has converted one of the bed room into a entertainment room.. they left us a big white screen and a ceiling projector.. and as you can see, it still in the processing of painting

this is the sofa set that the owner has left us

and here is the after paint finishing with my new TV console coming in

not forgeting my LCD TV,  and here comes another surprise for you.. the entertainment set that you see right now..are left for me from the last owner :P

and not forgetting the hob and the hood and the fridge too...

Me and my wife have stay in this unit since 2006, and by chance i found this pictures which I have kept in one of the folder..
Come to think of it, I really have a good tenant that sold me this unit...
Space Area: 107 Sq Metre, 1151.73sq feet
This is how it is looks like when the previous owner is staying..
This is a Living Room cum Dining Room.. a little messy though

And before the last owner pass the unit to me, they are willingly re-doing the house like touching up, painting (which they are not obligated to do it, but they do it).. look at this huge mess

The contractor are getting ready to repaint the house .. and my colour :P
Below u see are the last original colour... I quite like the colour as its really feel sunny in the living room

here are touching up and no entry to the room as the contract has just finishes sanding and varnishing the parquet floor

here is the after finished painting of the house, and looks how clean it is and I really like the granite floor

here come my Zen furniture... the previous ower acutally left me a 3+2 seater.... and I am really lucky that I found the same model and bought the 2+1 seater.. the dark colour below is from my last owner, and the lighter colour is what i have bought not forgetting the side table which I bought from Zen Tradition

It is not easy to find a good round coffee table as most of the coffee table that we saw are rectangular.. We found this round table from Bruno Menzi, and it really fitted into our environment

we bought this round dining table and 6 sets of chairs from Cellini as it is much more affordable then Zen tradition, it still has the Zen looks, and I am happy with it

and a nice Zen lantern to make a complete dining area

a new classique fan that we installed recently..
