we have been reading this magazine "DOLCE" since last year, and it is free :) we get most of our eating places from this great magazine, and sometimes it can be quite boring too...

And this particular ads catches my wife eyes, and suggest that said why dont we try this, anyway, it is her Ramen addictive moment, and so why not...

it is satuday late morning, we drove all the way to Boat Quay, before going to the actual details, here are some nice view that i have took...
the eating place .....

the entrance close up

Name Card front - quite cor-porate looking

the back of the card

the sitting arrangement do has some jap feel, cosy corner, cosy sitting place...

old pictures of the ramen stall in japan the good old day

the table setting are really neat and tidy

this is something new,,, the ramen pepper

Colour menu is simple and easy to understand, this is not the only page,, they have one more page that i forget to take.. hehehe

Now, this is what my wife ordered...  Miso Butter Corn Ramen,

as you can see they are really generous with everything,.. the ramen, the bean sprout, and tasty miso broth, the corn, the bamboo shoot..
When u put the ramen into your mouth, the texture is something that you really dont have a word to comment, the bean sprout is really crunchy.. crunch crunch
The broth are not salty, and it taste very very very good, and it really makes you want to finish the whole broth....

as for me, I ordered a Miso Char Siew Ramen..

just look at the char siew, there are at least 5~6 pcs of if, and the char siew are almist 4~5 mm thick, soft, tender, juciy, and it melts in your mouth...
Miso broth taste a little spicy, and a little spicy doesnt kill the great miso taste...

the over all verdict.. this is a great great place to have a authentice ramen, just be careful that the serving are big, but they do have a mini version that cost half the original price...
here is the place:

this is one place that we like it so much, the Nagoya Hill, it is the biggest mall in Batam, bigger then the Megamall... the number of shops and eating places really make us feel hungry that day..

there are Godiva Cafe

and we decided on Pizza hut, as we dont have any rupiah on hand..

here are some colourful menu that you can choose from

nice sitting arrangement and ambience...

this is one thing that you dont get to see in Singapore

the famous salad bar from Pizza Hut

we ordered a honey lime tea, it taste just too sweet as there more syrup then honey

we ordered a Puff Pastry Mushroom soup.. the puff really blend quite well with the mushroom soup, with it generous mushroom chuckiness, i really can go for a 2nd one...

this Beef Bruschetta with thousand island dressing is one of the best so far, we have never seen a bruschetta with thousand island,, the bread are soft and crunchy when u bite on it... this u really must try

spaghetti smoke soy chicken is one dish that we agreed together is a one tasty dish, it is loaded with spice herb but not hot, the gravy makes the spaghetti more sloopy, and the chicken, wow!!!.. GREAT!!!

by the time we finish our spaghetti, we are already half full... but here comes our vegetarian Pizza..
rich in green and red pepper, not forgetting the onion, slice mushroom, dice pineapples... too bad the cheese is just not enough... but it really taste good anyway.... when you are hungry, of course.. :)

and finally the bill.. IDR 13500 which is equivalent to S$ 17, US$ 11, HKD 88.. this is one lunch that is value for money...

This valentines dine really bring happy and disappoint moment....
things that i like, pizza hut, sea breeze from KTM, spa from KTM...
things that i dont like, the room, the noise from the neighbour, and the food from KTM
but overall i will rate the KTM at 50% as for the city tour, i will rate 90%

1st picture is the setting up for the Candle lights dinner on the bridge.

2nd picture on the left are the fully set-up and with candle light on table

with the lighting, it does have some romantic ambience...

1st come the fresh orange juice, a complimentary red one... nice

next come the soup, this is the worst soup i have ever taste, cold, blend and yuck...
next the chicken chop with steam potatoes + salad..

potatoes are hard, dressing on the salad are too much, as for the chop, yuck...
i have to say, this dinner really ruin our valentines day...

It was a pre-plan trip that I want to give my wife a suprise spa visit to Batam on the Valentines Day... Spa trip Batam is nothing new to us, as we patronise Holiday Inn most of the time.. but this time, we just want to try something new, and I have chose this KTM resort by Bath Essential Pte Ltd..
It is a one hour boat trip from Singapore to Batam y Batam Fast ferry service...
we departed by 9.20 am, and touches Batam by 10.20 am

When we reached the KTM resort by their ferry service, we were greete by a polite reception Miss Ani, she will smile to you all the way, and will answer all your question willingly.. The place looks a little run down, and let me bring you down to see what they have here.

Miss Ani is kind to show us where our "hut" is, as we are walking as per her directed route, the wave from the sea is already hitting our brain, sending a signal to release our stress...

please don be mistaken th one on the left, out hut is actually the one on the right (B10)...

this is one long steep stair case just beside our unit

the rooms are small, the toilet ar small, and they dont have enough lighting in the room too, and during night, you can actually hear one the neighbours are talking, what tv programme they are watching, you can frankly hear what they do, even with the slightest cough.. so take note that if you are going to choose this place, get prepare that you will not be going to have a good nite sleep as the sound insulation is bad..

But they do have share balcony which you can look out to the open sea...
re
here are pictures that took from the balcony, on the left, is a bridge which they are preparing for the candlelight dinner; as for picture on the right, that is the spa villa where we will be going later..

while waking on the bridge, you can feel the serenity of the surrounding, sea breeze hitting at you, it is really not a bad idea to have a dream house here...here on the bridge, i have took a shot of hut that we stayed and closed up shot of the spa villa on the right...

I have took 2 pictures, one showing a oil tank, and one showing the landscape.. coincidentally, this 2 pictures do look to have some connection.. so what i did was just to join the 2 pictures together..(unprofessionally). hahaha

they have a huge Goddess of Mercy standing tall guarding the sea

this was built by a business man from Singapore, and with the 4 pictures that I took,, this are some form that the Goddes of Mercy can turn into

here is the place that we went for our spa, nice view, with sea infront of you, the breeze hitting you, the scent of the sea... it just hit the right tune for you to relax

while waiting for our time slot, ginger tea were served.. and here are some nice picture while waiting

feet cleansing with sea salt

jacuzzi theraphy and massage bed...
