We were on our way to Man Fu Yuan to try out their Dim Sum, but unfortunately we were turnway, due to the fully reserved table.. we were very disappointed and walk away angrily...
So we decided to recce around the premises to see what other eateries that we can find..
We spotted this restaurant which is located at one corner, and it is a fusion between the Jap and the west.. so without hesitation, we walked in...
We were greeted by a polite manager of the restaurant, she showed us to our seating place, and there we find one whole set of colourful menu.. The Menu is really picture friendly, and it makes you say quick quick.. i want it now... and straight away we know what we want...
we quickly told the manager what we want in english, .. and suddenly she reply us in japanese ... we were stunned at that moment, and she was stunned too as we dont understand what she was trying to said.. she apologise, and thought we are jap.. We asked her "do we look like japanese", she replied in a honest look "yes, 100% sure".. wow.. I wonder what makes her think we were jap? after she left, we analyse our movemement, it could be the fact that the way our body language show, and we are not noisy couple ...
After we order our food, I notice their decor are unique. And with their old west theme and plus their antiques western decor, it really makes u feel u are going back to the old times...
here come the starter... at least it we are not bored while mucnhing the bread
Plate Lunch set consists of a Soup of the day, which is the mushroom soup and compliment with a small bowl of salad. You can actually tell the different between a canned soup and a natural soup... it is tasty and doesnt have any taste of MSG at all...
here comes our first dish - Hamburger stew is really boiling hot.. so remember to eat it with care...
here come the tofu burger with Omelette, the burger taste soft and puffy, with the sunny side egg, it taste great when the york start to fill up your burger... the Demaglace sauce does not taste salty, that is what make the dish great
The Plate Lunch set of Omellete covered on Tomatoe flavoured rice, and with its western plate plus the Japanese dish, it is not bad a combination after all
Omu rice set, it is a litte different from the one that we eat from outside. The cheaper version from the food court are more like scrambled egg that put ontop of the tomato flavour rice.. but when come to Ma Maison their egg is smooth and tasty.. the next time i come here.. i will definitely try this...
here come our tea set and ice cream, which is coming to the finale...
this is really cool.. when you are to pay your bill, dont forget to bring this key along, this key is tell the cashier which table you are on and they ching ching accordingly
this is a place i would like to go again... very retro ambience, nice waiter and waiteress...
